If you haven’t played this game yet, I highly recommend you to do so now. Below are the walkthroughs for level 1 to 10 for you to start playing with, and to discover the fun in finding clues!
Level 1
This is the easiest level. Adjust (probably you don’t have to do this) the bright and contrast level of your monitor and you’ll see the words “Enter the door”. So, just click on the door!
Level 2
Here you’ll see a closed door. Move your mouse over the door knob, and you’ll see a dialog box telling you “The door is closed. Trick it or reach level 3 in a different way! (address?)”. I’m not sure about the tricking the door part though, but the word “address” is a hint to tell you that you need to change the address in the address bar (a hand arrow points up to indicate the address bar). So, just change the address from level2.htm to level3.htm. Easy?
Level 3
The bricks doesn’t help in solving the riddle. However, it you wait for a while, you’ll see a sentence flashing quickly. It says “stop being so negatived”. Look at the address bar again, the current address is http://www.deathball.net/notpron/false/gototheothersite.htm. So, to be positive, we change the word “false” to “true”. Solved.
Level 4
The title says “look in the dark”. So it has something to do with the lamp. Beneath it you’ll see some codes. They are morse codes. This page has a complete list of morse codes. Translate it, and you’ll get “voodoo power”. Click on the clock and type in “voodoo” as the username and “power” as the password.
Level 5
There is a CD of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy on the table. Beneath the picture lies a sentence, “eyes like an angel smiles like a devil. What was the name of this song again?”. Erm .. could it be part of a lyric or something? Google it, and you’ll find the lyrics of the song “Simple Songs”, by Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. So the username is “simple”, and the password is “songs”.
Level 6
This is a little tricky. The title says “the souce code might help”, so we view the source and see what we can find. We’ll find an IFRAME inside, which leads us to a file with nothing. Press CTRL+A to sell all, and you will see the following number combinations:

The source code also says ASCII is an alternative. You may now refer to ASCII table to look up the codes, and you will get

Remember it says “an ALTernative”? So, try to rearrange the letters, and you’ll find the words that make sense: kill hour. Use them as username and password.
Level 7
This is tricky. Again, we look at the source code. We will find two interesting lines that say “times have changed in deutschland” and “what candy wrapper is it?”. Besides, the title says “he went to the old school”. Combining these two hints and the picture of Twix, it means you need to find the old name for Twix. Google it, and you’ll find Raider (here).
So where do you key in the password? Look at the address bar, the address looks funny (notpron/sdrawkcab/tieman.htm). And if you read it backwards, it says nameit/backwards! So, reverse the sequence of raider so it becomes rediar, and replace tieman in the address.
(I cheated on this level, because I have never seen Twix before .. and I don’t think it’s ever been sold here before)
Level 8
This is also tricky. First, click on the guitar, that’s the entrance to level 9. The realm for the password protected page is “mom, he formated my second song”. Remember that, then go back to level 8 (because we don’t have a password to next level yet). View the source code, and you’ll a wrongly spelled HTML tag to include background sound:
You won’t be able to play that mp3 (because it has been formatted, remember?) Back to the source code, the line after the location of the second song says “water became wine”. It means, something needs to change.
The extension! Change the file extension from mp3 to jpg, view it, and it tells the username and password to the next level. U: inverted, P: levelten.
Level 9
This is surprisingly easy. Again, the secret lies within the source code. See many SPANs there? Take out those with the “not” class, and you’ll get:

Yeah, they are the username and the password.
Level 10
This is superb! Turn on your speaker, and you’ll hear some “satan” sounds. Open up the source code, get the location of the sond, and download it to your computer. Two lines in the source code should catch your attention: “quick quick, don’t let me wait” and “%SystemRoot%\System32\sndrec32.exe can capture what u hear”. The latter means Sound Recorder in Windows. So, it tells you to play it in Sound Recorder.
You can’t play it just yet, because Windows Sound Recorder doesn’t natively support MP3. Convert it to a wave file first (you can use iTunes to do it too). Now, the statement “quick quick, don’t let me wait” hints that you need to increas the speed of the wave file. Do it three times, and you’ll listen something interesting. It sounds like “for real”. However, they are not the username and password (I was tricked). Reverse the sound, and you will hearly clearly “gray world”. Yeah, the username is “gray”, and the password is “world”.

Hey, I JUST started playing this game, at at first I didn’t get the trick thing either so I just changed the address. But I worked out what the trick was. You can’t actually click the door handle because the pop-up come up, but if you press tab it will eventually select the button on the door handle without triggering the pop-up and you can just press enter.

If you open quicktime player, and go to the file menu, there will be an option that says download URL. Type in the URL with the .mp3 ending and you will have the audio in a quicktime player. You can then save it and open it up with the sound recorder application. (I used a mac with quicktime 7 pro, but you should be able to do it with quicktime. I also used sound studio, because sound recorder is for Windows, but sound recorder definitely works.) If your quicktime player is too old or doesn’t have that feature, you can try messing with Windows Media Player or RealPlayer. Good Luck!

to get past level 11, open the picture you see (pizza in the oven), in a new window. If you look at the image name, you’ll see its “…screen12″. Using that with the title on page 11 “ahead of it’s time”, change the image to “screen11″, and theres your username and password.

Ive been playing for 2 days and im on level 16. It is the level that has the pictures of levels 1-15 with numbers on them. I know that you need to invert letters a->z and use the passwords or urls of previous levels to decipher the name and pass. Am I missing a clue that could help me select the letters better

The numbers represent letters somehow. The only numbers in brackets are 1, 2, and 3. So whatever letters these numbers represent must be divided into three “sections”. There are three rows on your keyboard… graph your keyboard!
Second hint:

translates to: your keyboard is erroneous.
Unless you have a French keyboard, you can ignore this hint.
The number in brackets refers to the “row”. The number not in brackets refers to the “column”.
So, on the first row of your keyboard, the 4th letter from the left is “R”. Do this for all the numbers.

Level 18. There are four notes playing. Decipher them and then type them into the URL. I just winged it, taking different combinations of the letters until I got the right one.

I solved some stuff on the riddle in level 16. I inverted the alphabet (as told in the source) and used it to translate ellwll/hrnkov/proo.. and found out they actually meant something. I decypherd zoo/mznvh and again found logical words. But now I’m still stuck , since I don’t know what to do with the rest, like the numbers (with, or without a #) in the overview picture. Anybodoy with some tips, hints, leads?

Why do you people keep asking about walkthroughs and answers? If you can’t get through one level without help, how could you make it through the next level without any help. If you don’t complete each level for yourselves, you simply can’t complete the game without cheating on higher levels.

The way you trick the door on level 4 is you hold down the right click button, then you move it to the door knob and release, then right click again real fast and select whatever open option it gives you.

All you have to do is put the cursor on the door handle and click. When the message pops up you press the enter button on your keyboard then click the handle using your mouse!

The trick for lvl 11 is to know what is ahead of its time. To do so look carefully the source code and figure it out, if u are in lvl 11 what is ahead of its time in the source code? that should do… =p

How do you change the name of a webpage?
For level 8, I rename the mus2.mp3 to mus2.jpg, and I get the message, “lol, no but you are soooo close. you need to rename the file, rather than accessing a new one”.
I tried changing the name to “music2.mp3″,”mus2.jpeg”,”music2.jpg”, “music2.jpg”.
I know the extension is a jpg, because of the “Jay should Pack his stuff” - it implies it.

NotprOn starts with level 1 to 82.
These are the positive levels.
After that there are negative levels ( level 0 to -44 )
And finally there are levels marked with greek alphabet ( alpha to mu )
After “mu” the creator decided to end the riddle there. So there will be no more levels.
It’s a really nice “game” if u are willing to try and learn new things.
If u get stuck, u can always go to the deathball forums and ask for help there. And the riddle even has its own irc-channel. That’s a nice place to get help too.
But trust me..
You can NOT solve the whole riddle using cheats and walkthroughs found on the internet. The creator has set up all kinds of cheater traps, and u if fall in to a certain trap, u can NEVER continue with the riddle. He can ban people from the server.
Anyways.. have fun and don’t cheat!!
