		<description>Hey!  Thanks for the link!  Although if I had known so many people were gonna be reading that entry, I would have tried to write it a little bit more carefully - I was trying to imitate how the "pros" do their tech rants, and maybe mine came off a little whiney! (&gt;_&lt;);;

One thing though - I didn't have to reformat my hard drive/re-install in the end.  For whatever reason, installing the standalone latest version of quicktime fixed whatever was causing the iTunes installation to screw up and I was able to re-install it without reformatting everything.  Unfortunately, it still &lt;em&gt;insists&lt;/em&gt; on only forcing the Japanese version install, but c'est la vie!  At least it works (sort of!)
