Yes, Google Maps and Google Earth are cool, but did you know that besides those offerings from Google, there are already some alternatives?
1. MSN Virtual Earth

Released a few days ago, it’s not difficult to guess that MSN Virtual Earth is Microsoft’s answer to Google Maps. One cool feature of it is the location finder, which displays your current location on a Virtual Earth map by either requiring you to install an ActiveX control or looking up your IP address (which is less accurate).

2. A9.com Maps

A9.com maps is the earliest online mapping tool from a search engine, as far as I can recall. It features a cook “block view” which lets you view the real street view.

3. NASA World Wind

NASA World Wind is another great tool goes unnoticed. WorldWind has many different image overlays and lots more information about the geography, weather and land. And surprise! It’s an open source freeware!

Nice site with rich resources. I will be here more.
