Teen faces jail for stealing wi-fi connection

The next time you discover some ‘leaked’ free wireless Internet connection from your neighbor into your house, don’t be too excited and go stop your own broadband subscription. A teen in Singapore has been using his neighbor’s unprotected Wi-Fi connection without permission. He now faces charges punishable by up the three years imprisonment.

Garyl Tan Jia Luo, 17, is the first person to face charges under Singapore’s Computer Misuse Act, the Straits Times via AP reports. The teenager also faces a possible fine of up to 10,000 Singapore dollars ($6,425) if convicted despite the lack of aggravating factors to his alleged crimes.

Stay in Tokyo for free

Okay, here is the chance for you to stay for free in Tokyo, one of the places with the most expensive rental in the world. You gotta be a white, under 35, and be good in bed.

This girl by the name of Keiko is offering anyone who meets the requirements above and she is willing to be your girlfriend. In return, you get to stay at her apartment for free.

Sounds too good to be true? Her invite got dugg (that’s how I got her story anyway), and if you are interested, you probably would need to act fast before her mailbox is full with resumes.

Bus Uncle / Bus Blaster / 巴士阿叔

27th of April 2006 is probably the worst day for Elvis Ho Yui Hei (何銳熙) of his life. He was on a bus heading to Yuen Long of Hong Kong, and was irritated by a middle-aged man sitting in front of him who was talking loud on the phone. Elvis then tapped his shoulder asking him to lower his voice.

The middle-aged man was no simple person. His name is Roger Chan Yuet Tung (陳乙東), who is alleged to have made three attempts for the office of Hong Kong Chief Executive in 1997, 2002 and 2005. Roger was annoyed by Elvis’s action and he spent the next 6 minutes to scold and insult Elvis by using excessive profanity. Phrases like “not resolved.. not resolved.. not resolved” (未解決!未解決!未解決!) and “I face pressure, you face pressure. Why did you provoke me?” (你有压力,我有压力,你为什么挑釁我?) quickly became popular catchphrases in Hong Kong.

Eye glasses for houseflies

Question: why can’t the houseflies fly straight?

Answer: they have bad visions, that’s why.

And we have one more reason to love our scientists, because they have created a pair of spectacles small enough for a housefly to wear!

Scientists using special laser technology have crafted a pair of mini-spectacles (2 mm) and placed them on the head of a housefly.
