Intel unveiling new logo - no more Intel Inside

As part of a major rebranding, Intel will be dumping its 37-year-old logo. The famous “Intel Inside” will be gone and be replaced by “Leap ahead”. Yonah will be called ‘Core Solo’ for the single core processor, the dual core Pentium M will have the label ‘Core Duo’.

Intel to unveil P4 successor at IDF

Intel confirmed that it will showcase its “next generation” desktop processor (code-named Conroe, which will consume less power than the current NetBurst architecture used in P4 processors), at the upcoming Intel Developer Forum (IDF) Fall.
