Cheap domain names

How much do you pay for a domain name? If you have a credit card, you can now get your very own .com / .net / .info domain for around US$5 a year. There are currently some companies who are selling the domains at below cost (their cost price is reportedly $6), so grab one while you can.

Aplus.net - selling domains at $3.95 each, limited to one per customer. Excellent customer support.

Netfirms - domains at $4.95 each. However, I wasn’t able to register one from them, it seems that they don’t accept Malaysian credit cards, but you may try your luck. Be sure to uncheck Website Starter CD if you don’t need one. Shipping costs $7.95.

Yahoo Small Business - although they are currently selling at $9.95 per domain, they occasionally offer one at $4.95. However, I heard their support is very bad, and be sure to turn off the auto-renewal feature if you don’t need it. Yes, they retain your card details.
