As a result of growing competitive pressure from low-end open-source databases like MySQL and PostgreSQL, Oracle is expected to announce on Tuesday the beta release of Oracle 10g Express Edition (Oracle Database XE), which for the first time being an Oracle database system that is made freely available.
It is targeted at students, small organizations and software vendors that could embed the Oracle database with an application.

I’m a strong believer that technology and innovation are things that make our lives better. Here is another proof.
The Toy is a vibrator that, guess what, is Bluetooth-enabled that lets you connect to it via a cellphone. Now it’s more than just using your cellphone to remotely control the operation of the vibrator. It lets your lover send you an intimate SMS that triggers the vibrator, regardless of where he / she is.
Once a message is read, the instructions embedded in the SMS text message is automatically transported to The Toy and translated into vibrations.
Don’t worry, it only responds to your lover’s tagged messages, not everyone’s.

As you are probably aware, this site runs Chitika’s eMiniMalls ads in addition to Google Adsense. I have been running it for quite some time, and the result has been quite impressive.
However, there is a catch should you want to serve Chitika and Google ads on the same page. Per Google’s TOS, you are not allowed to run another contextual ads alongside Adsense.
Forunately, Chitika has provided an option for you to turn off its contextual feature (what a waste, as they probably have invested their time and money into this, it’s not their time to shake a giant like Google, yet). You can specify what kind of ads you want to display by specifying keywords, so Chitika would randomly serve ads based on your keywords.
The eMiniMalls.info Keywords Query Tool lets you specify your keywords and see what ads it would show. You can specify as many keywords as you see the ad pattern. Try it below.

It was first reported at Search Engine Watch forum a few days ago. And someone has posted the snapshop of Google Base and made it availabe at Threadwatch.
