Google Talk quietly updates itself to 1.0.0.66

It seems that Google Talk has the ability to update itself. My Google Talk restarted itself unexpectedly just now. Then, my McAfee firewall alerted me that it has detected that Google Talk executable has changed. The version number has increased from 1.0.0.64 to 1.0.0.66, and I still don’t see any way of turning off the auto-update option in the new version.

Google hates Hotmail, really!

Even Google complains that Hotmail is too lousy. Try to search for “MSN” with Google, and you’ll find a “Server Too Busy” as one of the sublinks of MSN. Clicking on that will bring you to hotmail.msn.com.

MSN Beta

It seems that Microsoft is currently renovating its MSN portal. A beta site is quietly being shown off at Beta.msn.com, and it’s crappy! Not only it does look back, it gives JavaScript errors too. Okay, so maybe they don’t love Firefox and decided to make it Mozilla-incompatible, but loading it on Internet Explorer doesn’t help much too (via).

Cannonball man flies from Mexico to USA

It’s not a bird, it’s not a plane, it’s no superman and it’s a human cannonball. David Smith, a self pro-claimed human cannonball, is said to be the first person to be fired across an international border. He saild across the border with his passport in hand. Prior to the launch, he was granted the permission for crossing into the US in such an unconventional manner.

“I had to make sure to have some kind of official ‘OK’ high enough up to make sure he doesn’t land in the US and go to a federal penitentiary,” his son said.
