OK, this is not something new, but it sure is helpful to some people.
Ever since Microsoft release Windows XP Service Pack 2, the company keeps emphasizing the fact that you should enable Automatic Updates on your computer. Fair enough, but the problem is, it tries to outsmart you by restarting your PC automatically if you are not logged on to the computer, or you do not respond to the confirmation dialog within 5 minutes. Say good bye to your unsaved works, unfinished downloads, incompleted defragmentation. This is just more than annoying.
How to disable it:
1. In the Start Menu go to Run type gpedit.msc and press Enter.
2. Navigate to: Computer Configuration -> Administrative Template -> Windows Components -> Windows Update
3. Double click on No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Updates installations
4. In the settings window Choose Enabled and click OK
5. Close Group Policy Editor
The reason why I put this up: one of my PCs got restarted yesterday. All works were gone.

I thought Microsoft and Apple are friends? But it looks like they are not. MSN Virtual Earth, the new online mapping tool from software giant Microsoft has apparently wiped Apple Computer off the map. As you can see from the side by side comparison image above, while Google displays Apple HQ correctly, MSN on the other hand shows an empty field.

Yes, Google Maps and Google Earth are cool, but did you know that besides those offerings from Google, there are already some alternatives?
1. MSN Virtual Earth

Released a few days ago, it’s not difficult to guess that MSN Virtual Earth is Microsoft’s answer to Google Maps. One cool feature of it is the location finder, which displays your current location on a Virtual Earth map by either requiring you to install an ActiveX control or looking up your IP address (which is less accurate).

The “incidents” reported earlier has been confirmed to be another incident of attacks on 3 subway stations and a double-decker, a scene hauntingly similar to deadly explosions set off by four suicide bombers exactly two weeks before.
Although there were no major injuries reported in this incident, this attack could result in a much more severe damage in long term. Just imagine that despite tighter security control after the first blast on the 7th of July, attackers could still find their way to replay the attacks at not only 1 but 4 places. Who would feel safe anymore?
And would the joe public still put their trusts on the politicians who claim that the days after tomorrow would be a better world?
